Born in Northamptonshire in 1970, Anthony is an oil painter and mural artist now living in Weybridge, Surrey. He is largely self-taught and regularly takes his oil paints away with him on his travels throughout Britain & Europe.
He joined Pirbright Art Club in 2020 after initially attending one of their art holidays in Cornwall in 2019 - the first time he had worked outdoors direct from the subject, which he says was a huge learning experience.
He now paints regularly with the Surrey Hills Plein Air Painters in beautiful locations across the county and is a member of the Guilford Art Society.
He believes that the best way to improve as an artist is to regularly paint en plein air, surrounded by his contemporaries where he can exchange views, ideas and tips. He has learnt that capturing the light is everything .
